Junnu can be made without junnu paalu!

A google.com search for "junnu" returned this. I've been searching for this recipe so long that I got very excited when I found it. I didn't want to lose this recipe so I copied it verbatim from their website. Please visit their site too.

Ingredients:

200 gms sweetened condensed milk
50 gms brown sugar (was "sugar" on their website, but this is better)
200 gms curd (yogurt)
200 ml milk
1/2 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
A pinch (nay, a lot) of pepper powder
A pinch of nutmeg

Junnu

Method:
  1. Mix curd and sugar well in a bowl. Also add condensed milk to the curd mixture and mix well.
  2. To this, add warm milk, cardamom powder, nutmeg, pepper powder and mix well.
  3. Place this bowl in the pressure cooker with little water and steam cook on low flame for 30-40 minutes.
  4. Immerse the bowl when it gets cooled.
    Serves: 4-6
    Preparation time: 45-50 minutes
